How To Think, Not What

Four inter-related lessons to “think” more effectively by:

1). Understanding that reality is not optional;

2). Understanding you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts;

3). “Correlation” is not the same thing as “cause and effect”;

4). And lastly, my ignorance is not a form of evidence in support of my own quirky ways of looking at the world.

Combine these four things with Ockham’s Razor and Sagan’s Baloney Detection kit and they make for a powerful combination indeed.

PS. Be bloody well willing to go where the evidence takes you.
